Downtown Boise

Lifestyle & Location

Possibly no other part of Boise is so inviting, day and night, all year round, than Southeast Boise. Just less than 1/2 mile from the new 'heart' of Southeast Boise, Bown Crossing, it is the area's bustling hub of community social gatherings, restaurants, shops, commerce and historic sites. The historical Bown family homestead is nearby and horse-drawn carriages crossed the river near there. This burgeoning East Boise neighborhood is quickly making up for lost time with a spurt of what some might call "smart growth."

Education: SE Boise is known for its great schools: Timberline High School, Les Boise Junior High, and several great elementary schools, plus great private schools like Riverstone and Park Center Montessori. And, of course, Boise State University is here, too.

Recreation: From the Idaho Shakespeare Festival and rafting at Barber Park, to the MK Nature Center and Boise River, there’s plenty of fun to be found in SE Boise. In addition, boating and fishing at Lucky Peak Reservoir are just minutes away.

Downtown Boise

Transportation: Minutes from the airport and I-84, coming and going from SE Boise and Marsala Springs is easy. Plus, Park Center Blvd. makes the 3-mile trip to downtown effortless. And, with plans for the East Park Center Bridge moving forward, access will only get better.

Open Space: SE Boise has easy access to great fun. The Greenbelt and Boise River carve through the neighborhood. Barber Park is here. Park Center Pond is a great spot for picnics and fishing for the kids. And, the 16-acre Simplot Sports Complex is a hit for baseball, softball and soccer games.

Marketplace: Steps from the Bown Crossing Marketplace, which features many new and exciting shops, spas and cafes. Imagine living just steps from the Greenbelt, a library and a neighborhood center of shops, restaurants and gathering places.
